With the Front Facing Camera option enabled in the admin's Compliance panel, you can require that your users snap a photo of their face before making purchases larger than a set amount.
⚠️ NOTE: This feature is available on machines and servers running Crafty Chnemu v7.3 and higher. Enabling this feature on releases before v7.3 will cause unsuccessful transactions when hitting the threshold. Please make sure all machines are up-to-date before enabling.
Enabling Front Facing Camera
With your machines and server updated to v7.3 or higher, in your admin's 'Compliance > Triggers' panel, click the '+Add new trigger' button, select a trigger and choose Customer camera as a requirement.
Users of the machine will be prompted for their phone number and to confirm it via SMS when they conduct a transaction at or above the value at which SMS is invoked.
After confirming their phone number they'll be permitted to transact up to the next compliance tier, in this example, Front Facing Camera. When inserting to that amount, they'll encounter a screen informing them that they can verify by allowing the machine to take a photo of their face, or complete the transaction for the present amount.
If pressing 'Yes, take photo', they'll be prompted to look at the dot at the top of the screen until the front-facing camera is able to capture their photo:
As soon as a face is detected and a photo captured, the machine will proceed to the insert bills screen (or the 'How much?' screen, if a cash-out transaction).
The photo will now be uploaded to the Admin's 'Customers' panel for viewing.
⚠️ NOTE: Both the SMS and Front Facing Camera tiers may be set to zero (at the same amount) such that all transactions require ID, however during all verifications, SMS will be requested first as it acts as an account identifier.
Following a successful Front Facing Camera scan, within the 'Compliance > Customers' panel the photo uploaded will be available for viewing.
These photos reside exclusively on your server. To view a higher resolution, click the gavel icon, find the Front facing camera category, and click the magnifier icon.
