With the ID Card Photo option enabled in the admin's compliance panel, you can require that your users scan the front of their photo IDs to make purchases larger than a set amount.
⚠️ Note: This feature is available on machines and servers running Bullish Bunene v7.2 and higher. Enabling this feature on releases before v7.2 will cause unsuccessful transactions when hitting the threshold. Please make sure all machines are up-to-date before enabling.
Enabling ID photo collection
With your machines and server updated to v7.2, in your admin's 'Global Settings > Compliance' panel, set ID Card Photo to 'On' and assign a fiat threshold amount. At and above this value, users are prompted to present their ID card prior to making larger transactions.
Ensure SMS is set to on and at or below the fiat threshold of ID Card Photo, as this is the first step in all compliance flows and is required for all other tiers.
Machine flow
First time users of the machine will be prompted for their phone number and to confirm it via SMS when they conduct a transaction at or above the value at which SMS is invoked.
After confirming their phone number they'll be permitted to transact up to the next compliance tier, such as, ID Card Photo. When inserting to that amount, they'll encounter a screen informing them that they can either verify their ID for higher amounts or complete the transaction for the present amount.
If pressing 'Yes, verify ID', they'll be prompted to hold their ID card up to the scanning bay window.
Within a couple seconds of a steady image of a card containing a face, the machine will proceed to the insert bills screen (or the deposit screen if a cash-out transaction.)
The ID photo is uploaded to the Admin's Customers panels for viewing.
Note: Both the SMS and ID Card Photo tiers may be set at the first dollar (at the same amount) such that all transactions require ID, however during all verifications, SMS will be requested first as acts as an account identifier.
Admin view
Following a successful ID photo capture, you will see a new section within the 'Maintenance > Customers > Customer Details' panel.
These ID photos reside exclusively on your server. To view a higher resolution, right-click on the photo in the Customer Details panel, and click 'View Image'.
