When obtaining support or buying a second-hand machine, it's important to properly identify your Lamassu Bitcoin ATM model.
Some machines, like the Trofa, Douro, and Douro II, look similar at first glance; but have differing support statuses, software options, and available features.
Trofa (late 2013 – early 2014)

The Trofa was our original Bitcoin Machine. The last software release compatible with the Trofa was Ambient Antu v7.1 in 2018, and support for it is deprecated.
In order to run the latest and upcoming software, add new compliance capabilities, and obtain ongoing support, this machine's hardware must be upgraded with the Trofa Upgrade Kit.

Douro (mid 2014 – 2018)
How to tell it apart: 10-inch Aaeon ACP tablet computer
Available upgrades: Douro Customer Camera Kit
The Douro replaced the Trofa as our Bitcoin Machine model in mid-2014, adding a larger screen and more powerful tablet computer.
A customer-facing camera may be added using the Douro Customer Camera Kit.
The latest software is available for the Douro, and new releases continue to be developed and supported for it.

Douro II (2018 – 2020)

The Douro II replaced the Douro in 2018 and debuted alongside our Sintra and Sintra Forte models. Unlike the prior Douro and Trofa models, the Douro II features a built-in customer-facing camera.
The latest software is available for the Douro II, and new releases continue to be developed and supported for it.

Sintra – Gen 1 (2018 – late 2019)

Available upgrades: Two-way upgrade
The Sintra debuted in 2018. It is a native floor-standing unit, available in one or two-way configurations. A receipt printer was offered as an option.

The Tejo debuted in 2021. Influenced by the simplicity and elegance of our compact Gaia model, the Tejo is a native two-way machine that features a customer-facing camera, has the option for a receipt printer, it has up to three times the capacity for customers' cash deposits, also up to double the note capacity for cash-out (across four denominations) and a large full-HD screen.
The latest software is available for the Tejo, and new releases continue to be developed and supported for it.
