If you find that coin options suddenly no longer appear on your machine's home screen, your admin shows 'networkError' on its 'Maintenance > Funding' panel, or you encounter repeated errors in sending coins (such as 'Request failed with status code 500'); your machine's wallet software may be out of date or your server's volume space full.
To address both potential causes, we should update to the latest machine and server versions, update all node wallets, and if applicable migrate the Ethereum wallet from Geth to Infura.
Update to the latest release
First, in order to patch any known issues, as well as to enable the option for Infura, upgrade your server and machine to the latest release.
Update wallets
As new wallet versions are released, you should keep up with the latest by using our wallet upgrade scripts.
Some, like Zcash and Bitcoin Cash, are required as they undergo protocol upgrades (hard forks) which require running the latest wallet software.
Migrate from Geth to Infura
Geth had been the Ethereum wallet prior to the release of Ambient Antu (v7.1). However, the drive space of operators' DigitalOcean volumes were often outstripped by the expanding blockchain data that Geth required.
With no drive space left, this leads to other wallets stopping and transactions failing.
We added Infura as a lightweight means to overcome Geth's limitations. To reclaim space, re-enable other wallets, and switch to a more reliable Ethereum service, migrate from Geth to Infura.
(Merely disabling ETH as an option in the Admin isn't sufficient, as the blockchain space must be reclaimed.)
