If our support team has indicated your DigitalOcean droplet is underpowered or may have too little disk space, use the following quick steps to upgrade your droplet's CPU, RAM, and disk space to the recommended size.
During the upgrade, your machines will be temporarily out of service since the server is briefly powered down and rebooted.
⚠️ NOTE: Droplet upgrades are one-way and cannot be reversed to lower specifications later on.
Power off your droplet
Log into your droplet's terminal and run the following two commands, separately:
supervisorctl stop all
poweroff
Your terminal will inform you that your connection to your server has closed (as it's now powered off.)
Resize your droplet
Then, within your DigitalOcean account, click on the 'More' drop-down next to your droplet, and choose 'Resize droplet'.
On the next screen, choose 'Disk, CPU and RAM'.
Our current recommendations for running node wallets is the 'Standard' type 4 vCPUs / 8 GB RAM / 160 GB SSD option (40 USD/mo). Select this option below.
Click the 'Resize' button.
It will spin for a couple of minutes until complete.
Power on your droplet
When the progress spinner disappears along with the red note text above it, and you see at the top of the screen that your droplet's now has the higher 8 GB Memory and 160 GB Disk specifications, then the resize is complete.
From here, click the slider in the upper-right that currently says 'Off' to 'On'.
With the slider green, your server droplet will be back online with the upgraded sizes. It will take a few minutes for your wallets to come online and your admin and machines to begin running again.
You may log into your admin to check that all looks well, especially your Funding panel. If you receive a 'NetworkError' message on one of the wallet's Funding panels, give it about 10 minutes as the wallet re-establishes itself and check again.
