Setting up TronGrid

TronGrid serves as a simple API for accessing the TRON blockchain and broadcasting transactions. Configuring TronGrid on your Lamassu Admin enables you to interact with the TRON network, and thus transact with both TRX and USDT_Tron.

⚠️ NOTE: A balance of TRX is needed in order to transact with USDT_Tron since the latter uses the former to cover for any necessary fees.

Signing up for TronGrid

Visit https://www.trongrid.io/register and sign up with an email and password. Make sure to confirm your email address after registering, when prompted to do so.

Creating an API Key

Once you login to your newly created TronGrid account, click on 'API Keys' on the menu to your left, and hit 'Create API Key'.

Pick any name for your key and hit 'Create'

A new key will then be added on your 'API Keys' section of your TronGrid account. Click on the blue button to the right of that new key labeled 'Check'.

Then copy the API Key in the newly displayed window, and store it safely.

Adding a TronGrid API Key to the Lamassu Admin

On your Lamassu Admin, head over to 'Settings > 3rd Party Services', go to the TronGrid box, and click the edit icon.

Paste the previously copied API Key from TronGrid, and hit 'Save Changes' when done.

Configuring TRX/USDT_Tron and adding it to Locales

On your Lamassu Admin head over to 'Settings > Wallet' and edit TRX and/or USDT_Tron according to your desired settings for them (Ticker, Exchange, etc).

When done, head over to 'Settings > Locales', click on the edit icon to the right and under 'Crypto Currencies' add 'TRX' and/or USDT_Tron and hit 'Save' to the right.

You can confirm these are functioning by checking if you can see your newly added coin balances at 'Maintenance > Funding' in your Lamassu Admin.
