If you are currently using Infura for your Ethereum gateway, and wish to switch to Geth, follow the process below for re-enabling Geth on your server.
Note: As always, please ensure you have your Ethereum seed (mnemonic) backed up. Use our article on 'Wallet backups' to do so.
Re-enable Geth as an option
First, re-enable the Geth option by running the following command in your server's terminal:
curl -sS https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lamassu/lamassu-patches/master/wallets/geth/enable-geth.sh | bash
Afterwards, you'll see the message 'Done', followed by next steps.
In the server, run the command lamassu-coins, then select 'Ethereum' with the arrow keys and space bar, and hit Enter.
Wait around one hour for the new Geth instance to fully sync.
Switch to Geth
Afterward, navigate to 'Settings > Wallet' in your admin, and for Ethereum select 'geth' instead of 'Infura' as the wallet option and click 'Save'.
From there, you may visit the 'Maintenance > Funding' panel to verify your existing balance is seen on your Ethereum wallet.
Ethereum transactions will work as before, though using a built-in node (geth) to broadcast and listen for transactions rather than the third-party service Infura.
