Our newest software release, Electric Enlil v7.5, is now available!
If you have an existing admin and wish to migrate, use our article on upgrading to v7.5.
Server & admin installation
Create a new droplet following our existing knowledgebase instructions, with these two differences:
- Step 4: Instead of Ubuntu 16.04 as the image, choose Ubuntu 20.04 (LTS) x64.
- Step 7: Instead of the install script listed there, use instead:
curl -sS https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lamassu/lamassu-install/electric-enlil/install | bash
Otherwise, use lamassu-coins as indicated to install one or two coins' wallets to start, record your ETH mnemonic with lamassu-mnemonic, then proceed to access the new admin at the link that was output at the completion of the install script.
If you use wallet nodes (bitcoind, zcashd, etc.), it will use separate wallets than your current admin. If you use BitGo, you may use the same wallet (although you must create a new API Token bound to the beta admin's IP address), or a new one.
The new admin wizard will walk you through the minimal steps required to set up one coin and pair a machine to your admin.
Please follow the wizard, and at the end continue to add any further services or settings you wish (such as notifications, compliance triggers, etc.).
You'll find much of the same settings as you're familiar with, although a few in different locations and the compliance and customer panels greatly overhauled. Take a moment to navigate around.
Contact our support team to schedule an update to a machine which you would like Electric Enlil on. We'll need to update its software as well, although while it's still paired to your old admin, it will continue to operate as expected.
Provide us with the device ID of the machine by running lamassu-devices in your old server's terminal.
We'll push the v7.5 machine-update to this machine and confirm. Afterward, you'll need to unpair this machine from your old admin ('Maintenance > Machines' panel), and then pair it to the new v7.5 admin.
To generate a pairing code from the new admin, choose 'Add machine' in the upper-right corner.
