As indicated in our Kraken setup article, if your admin is set to use another fiat currency than EUR or USD, then the module defaults to trading on Kraken's EUR market.
If you would prefer instead to trade on their GBP or CAD markets (which are limited to only BTC and ETH), or to default instead to the USD market (available for all cryptocurrencies), follow this article to do so.
⚠️ NOTE: If you perform the manual switch below, you must do so again after upgrading your server in the future.
To force trading on the USD market when your machine uses a currency other than USD, run the following command within your server's terminal:
curl -sS https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lamassu/lamassu-patches/master/switches/kraken/kraken-usd.sh | bash
Then, ensure you have a balance in your Kraken's USD account and place a test transaction that is above Kraken's minimum purchase amounts.
If your machine is configured for CAD or GBP, and you wish to trade on Kraken's respective CAD or GBP markets, run the following command within your server's terminal:
curl -sS https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lamassu/lamassu-patches/master/switches/kraken/kraken-gbp-cad.sh | bash
Then, ensure you have a balance in your Kraken's CAD or GBP account and place a test transaction that is above Kraken's minimum purchase amounts.
⚠️ Note: Only BTC and ETH trading are available on Kraken's CAD and GBP markets. If you support any of the other available coins, and want to automatic trading performed for those, use Kraken's EUR or USD markets instead and do not run this command.
