Due to a change in a price source API, the majority of operators must run the update script below in order to continue retrieving cryptocurrency prices for their machines in the near future.
The price source provider* has not indicated when they will retire their old API, thus, it's recommended to update as soon as possible in order to avoid machines being down once it is retired.
Patching your server
To do so, log into your server's terminal and run the following command:
curl -sS https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lamassu/lamassu-patches/master/hotfix/ticker-patch.sh | bash
Following that, you'll see 'Tickers updated' and your server will continue retrieving price rates as expected.
You may then check your admin's Funding panel for the fiat balance equivalent of your wallets, which indicates ticker rates are being correctly retrieved.
No further action is needed, though if you have any questions, please reach out to our support team.
* While the price provider is BitPay, this also affects other price source options when using currencies other than USD, EUR, and a few others, as BitPay is used to obtain FOREX rates if local currencies are not supported by the chosen price source.
e.g., As Kraken does not have a Chilean peso market, if chosing Kraken and CLP, the system uses BitPay's BTC/USD and BTC/CLP price to calculate a USD/CLP exchange rate, then applies that rate to Kraken's USD rate to obtain a local price for Kraken's various crypto markets.
