While running Windows, Termius offers a more user-friendly experience over PuTTY for terminal access to your server.
To download and install Termius for Windows, go to: https://termius.com/windows
Once installed, follow the steps below to configure:
Step 1: Open Termius from your task-bar or start menu, select the 'termius' drop-down menu, then 'keychain'.
Step 2: Select 'Add Key', then create a label for your private ssh key. Click 'file ->', then locate your private SSH key (your private key should now be visible within Termius). Next, hit 'save' and exit your key preferences using the 'X' button.
Step 3: To configure a session with your server, select the '+New Host' button, create a label, and copy your sever's IP-address from PuTTy: from within PuTTy select your server's config, then 'load' and copy the address from 'Host Name' (This can alternatively be found within your DigitalOcean's dashboard). Once copied, return to Termius and paste the IP under 'Address'.
Step 4: Scroll down to the 'SSH' section, enter "root" under 'Username', click on 'Key ->' and select the private key imported earlier, then hit 'Save' in the top right corner.
Step 5: You'll now see your server under a list of 'Hosts', right click on it and select 'Connect via SSH'. Enter the password associated with your SSH key and hit 'Connect'.
Congratulations, you're now logged into your server via Termius!
