A key Linux vulnerability was recently discovered which affects your Lamassu server. It is critical that you upgrade your server as soon as possible.
Patching the vulnerability
To do so, run the following in your server's command line, as one single command:
sudo apt-get update -y --force-yes && DEBIAN_FRONTEND=noninteractive sudo apt-get upgrade -y --force-yes && sudo reboot
(If you're running your own server with a distribution other than Ubuntu, please refer to your Linux distribution's upgrade instructions.)
The upgrade will take several minutes. Afterwards, you will be disconnected from the server while it restarts. Machines will be down during this brief time, coming back online within a minute once the server has rebooted.
You may then log back into your server and operate as normal.
If you receive errors mentioning 'dkpg', please instead run:
You'll be logged out as it reboots. Reconnect, and run the six following commands individually:
sudo mv /var/lib/dpkg/lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock_bak sudo mv /var/cache/apt/archives/lock /var/cache/apt/archives/lock_bak DEBIAN_FRONTEND=noninteractive sudo dpkg --configure -a sudo apt-get update -y --force-yes DEBIAN_FRONTEND=noninteractive sudo apt-get upgrade -y --force-yes sudo reboot
