When changing the Santo Tirso's denominations from a prior setting, it is important to follow the full process below. Otherwise, there exists the potential for under or over-dispensing.
It is recommended you perform the server commands while on site with the machine, to minimize the time between changing the bills and the backend settings.
After reloading the cash cassettes with the new bills, run ssu-cartridges with the new denomination values. Example for $20 and $50 notes, with a virtual cartridge of $100.
ssu-cartridges 20 50 100
Note that the 'virtual cartridge' setting is required and should be a multiple of one or both denominations, as well as being greater than the highest denomination.
Even if the bill count remains the same, run ssu-bills with the bill counts of the cassettes. If the machine taco-truck has 200 bills in the top cassette ($20) and 75 bills in the bottom cassette ($50), run:
ssu-bills taco-truck 200 75
The ssu-bills command with amounts must be run after changing the cartridge settings, otherwise the machine will not receive the updated denomination info and will dispense based upon the prior settings, leading to an under or over dispense in fiat value.
Restart the lamassu-server process:
restart lamassu-server LAMASSU_ENV=debug
Then place a test transaction at the machine, dispensing from the new denomination to confirm that the setting changes are respected.
