Congrats on your new Lamassu Bitcoin Machine! Let's get started.
Setting up your Admin Panel
The first step is to setup the admin panel which controls your machine. You can perform this before your machine arrives. To do so, please see the article "Setting up the Lamassu Admin".
Open the crate and inspect the contents. Your machine was sent with 2 sets of Abloy keys in a small blue box, normally taped to the bottom of the machine. There are 2 keys for the exterior door lock, and 2 for the interior vault. There is also a small card with a hologram that provides a code for the locks used. Please make sure you have located both sets of keys and the key card, and store them is a safe place. If you misplace your keys and key card you will not be able to access the inner machine and vault. If your machine was damaged in transit or is missing anything please email us immediately at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Open the interior vault with the blue key, then locate and remove the blue shipping tape on either side of the cashbox. Once removed, you may withdraw the cashbox by pulling directly out on its green handle. Cash may be removed by the box by inserting a finger into the top hole of the cashbox and lifting upwards. Reinsert the cashbox by pushing it fully back in. If not properly inserted, the machine will display an error. While the machine is on, when reinserted fully, you will hear the bill validator engage.
Pairing with your Admin
Connect your machine to internet by connecting an Ethernet cable to the underside port of the machine (if Douro). If Ethernet is not available, use a secure Wi-Fi network (the Wi-Fi selection screen will be available after the machine has initialized below). Please see "Best Practices for Connectivity" for more details.
Plug the machine into wall power. Once booted, initialize the machine by pressing the INIT button. After your admin has been configured following the steps in "Setting up the Lamassu Admin", take a picture of the pairing QR code from the Pairing panel within the admin, then press the Scan button on the machine and present the photo of pairing QR code to the scanning bay window.
If you receive an error when scanning the pairing code, please follow the steps in: "Pairing screen error or QR code won't scan"

Only place a small amount of bitcoins in the machine's wallet for testing purposes. Conduct thorough test transactions with all denominations and as many series of your local currency. If you receive consistent rejections, your bill validator may benefit from a cleaning. Should you receive consistent note rejections afterwards, please contact support as there may be a firmware update for your bill validator.
Mounting & Installation
You may securely mount your machine to a Braga or Santo Tirso stand, or a surface of your choice using the included bolts and mounting plate.
